CHATPATE STEAMED BABY CORNS

CHATPATE  STEAMED  BABY  CORNS:
INGREDIENTS:                 (serves 8-10 )

200  g  baby corns
2  tbsp  rough coriander paste made by crushing
                          a  few coriander leaves
1/2  cup curd
1-1/2  tsp  garlic paste
2  green chillies- deseeded and chopped finely
1  tsp  salt, or to taste, a pinch of haldi (turmeric)
Some chaat masala- to sprinkle

METHOD:
  • Pressure cook all ingredients together, except the chaat masala, to give 1 whistle. Remove from fire. After the pressure drops, open the cooker and dry the water.
  • Serve sprinkled with some chaat masala.
Note:  If baby corns are not available, cut the regular corn into 1-1/2" pieces and pressure cook to give 1 whistle and then keep on low flame for 5 minutes. Choose tender corns.
